Sam arrived here in August, i hadnt initially planned to buy a stallion now, but when i saw him for sale, knowing he has had a couple of nasty injuries in the past, especially to his front foot, i always like to think that older horses still have quite a bit to offer, and my plans with him are to get him sound enough after remidial shoeing, to ride quietly around the farm,
and he will be used on our mares next year, ive been very immpressed with stock we have bred and seen grow up in the area from him,and he has a lovely temprement and is really nice to be around,
so after he has been built up and regained a little more condition and soundness, hopefully! there will be more pics of him at a later date,
He allready has bookings for next season, and he will only stand to a very limited amount of outside mares.
   Happy and back in work, with a new routine of mostly walk to build his muscles up, and a very small lope every now and again, which perks him up, he really loves doing the stock work even if it is in a gentler mode, He is one very happy boy and an absolute gentleman.       |
